PRORANKTV – Live TV for language learners, from beginner to pro

PRORANKTV on Android TV and Google TV, ready for daily listening

Android TV and Google TV run inside many Sony, TCL and Philips televisions, some Hisense models, and devices such as the Nvidia Shield, Chromecast with Google TV and its successor, the Google TV Streamer. More often than not that means the main screen of the house, the one already switched on in the evening, which makes it the easiest place to add half an hour of listening in your target language. PRORANKTV needs no workaround here: the players are ordinary Google Play downloads, and the voice button on the remote can open them by name. Allow about ten minutes.

Before the first listening session

  • An Android TV or Google TV television, or a streaming device running one of them
  • A Google account, signed in on the TV or the streaming device
  • Your PRORANKTV Xtream Codes details from WhatsApp
  • The names of two or three channels in the language you practice

Still waiting for details? The PRORANKTV 24-hour trial sends a working login to WhatsApp in the same format as a paid term. Once it arrives, live TV sorted by language shows which groups to practice with.

7 steps to a working Android TV

  1. Decide what kind of practice this screen will carry

Ask yourself when you will use it. Live TV at a fixed hour, a weather report at breakfast or the 7 p.m. bulletin, points to TiviMate, whose guide is laid out like a cable box and makes a daily slot easy to keep. If on-demand films and series matter as well, where subtitle and audio tracks are more often selectable, IPTV Smarters Pro keeps live channels, movies and series in separate sections. Both read the same Xtream Codes details, and both can sit on one device.

    Choose a PRORANKTV plan

  2. Find the player in Google Play

On Google TV, open the Apps tab, or press the voice button and say the player’s name. On the older Android TV home screen, the Google Play Store sits in the apps row. Type TiviMate IPTV Player, or IPTV Smarters Pro, into the search, confirm the developer on the listing, and install. Listings change from time to time and differ by country; if one player is missing, take the other, since the login works in either.

  3. Type in the Xtream Codes details

Open the player. In TiviMate, the first screen offers Add playlist; pick Xtream Codes and complete the server, username and password fields before pressing Next. IPTV Smarters Pro names the same form Login with Xtream Codes API. Copy the server exactly as the WhatsApp message shows it, from the http:// at the front to the port number after the colon, and watch for an automatic capital letter at the start of the username. Name the playlist if asked; the name only matters if you later add a second one.

  4. Leave the first download alone

The first sign-in fetches every channel group and several days of listings, and on a line-up this large that may need two or three minutes. Leave the screen until the progress indicator stops. Later sign-ins are far quicker, because the player only refreshes what changed. If the TV goes off during this first run, open the player again and let it finish.

  5. Bring the player to the front of the home row

Getting from power-on to a channel quickly is what keeps a daily habit alive. On Google TV, highlight the player in Your apps, hold select and choose Move to bring it forward. On Android TV, add it to the favorite apps row. Some players can also start on the last channel you watched; look in the player’s general settings for that option, if it offers one.

  6. File the channels by language

Open the channel groups and choose the countries you will actually use. In TiviMate, hiding unused groups is a Premium feature; in IPTV Smarters Pro, a long press on a channel adds it to favorites. Order the list by difficulty: something slow and visual first, such as a weather or cooking program in your target language, then a news channel, then drama, with live sport commentary last. For Arabic, note each channel’s country, since news is usually in Modern Standard Arabic while drama is often in a local dialect.

  7. Test a channel in your target language

Play the first channel on your list long enough to hear two or three different voices. Press select during playback to bring up the player’s controls and look for an audio-track or subtitle choice, if your player shows one; most live channels carry a single track and nothing to switch. Open the guide and check that tomorrow’s listings are there. Add the channel to favorites if you have not yet, then press Home: the player should now be one press from the home screen.

5 hitches on the Android TV, each with its fix

The voice button opens a web search instead of the player

Say the app’s full name, such as open TiviMate, rather than the channel you want, which the assistant tries to find on the web. Once the player sits at the front of the home row, you will rarely need the voice button at all.

The box keeps warning that storage is full

Program guide data builds up over weeks on boxes with little storage. Open Settings, then Apps, choose the player and select Clear cache. Do not choose Clear data or Clear storage, which also wipes the login and the favorites you built.

The TV wakes on the wrong input after standby

On a separate streaming device, the television needs HDMI-CEC switched on so the device can select its own input. Samsung calls it Anynet+, LG calls it SimpLink and Sony calls it Bravia Sync. With it enabled, the device’s remote also wakes the TV on the right input.

TiviMate shows the live channels, but not the films you wanted

TiviMate is built around live TV, and depending on the version its on-demand side may be limited or absent. If films and series with subtitle tracks are part of your practice, install IPTV Smarters Pro beside it and sign in with the same details; just avoid playing in both at once on a one-connection plan.

One channel stutters while the others play smoothly

The trouble lies with that channel’s source, not your device. Many channels are listed in more than one quality, such as HD and FHD, so try the other version in the same group. If every channel stutters, restart the device and the router before anything else.

Still stuck after these? PRORANKTV faults that are not tied to one device covers the general ones, and a picture of the error message, taken on your phone and sent to WhatsApp, saves describing it.

Questions about PRORANKTV on the Android TV

Does PRORANKTV work on Google TV?

Yes. Underneath its own home screen, Google TV runs Android TV, which means the same two players come from its Apps tab and accept the PRORANKTV login exactly as this guide describes. Televisions with Google TV built in, Chromecast with Google TV and the newer Streamer all follow the same steps.

Which player should a language learner choose on Android TV?

TiviMate if your practice is mostly live TV at fixed times, because its program guide makes a daily slot easy to plan. IPTV Smarters Pro if on-demand films and series matter too, since it keeps them in their own sections. Plenty of people install both with one login, as long as only one plays at a time.

Can I install PRORANKTV on an Android phone too?

Yes, and the same login works there. IPTV Smarters Pro runs on Android phones and tablets, which is handy for listening on a commute with headphones. Each device that plays at the same moment uses one connection, so a phone and a television playing together need a two-connection plan.

Do I need an Android TV box if my TV already has Android TV?

No. A television with Android TV or Google TV built in installs the players directly, so a box adds nothing. A separate device is worth it only if the built-in system has become slow, or if the maker has stopped updating it and a player no longer appears in its store.
