PRORANKTV – Live TV for language learners, from beginner to pro

PRORANKTV in TiviMate: the guide grid as a practice timetable

TiviMate suits a learner who practices by the hour. It opens on live television with a grid of channels against time, so the 7 p.m. forecast on a French channel or the evening bulletin on a German one becomes a row and a column you find again tomorrow. Add PRORANKTV through the Xtream Codes route and the listings come with the channels; on channels that keep an archive, past programs carry a replay mark. The free version plays everything and draws the whole grid. Favorites and hidden groups, the tools that shrink 25,000+ channels to one language, are TiviMate Premium features, as are recording, multi-view and multiple playlists. Audio and subtitle choices are in the playback menu if your version offers them. TiviMate runs on Android screens only.

Before the first listening session

  • An Android TV or Google TV set, an Android box, or a Fire OS stick (not the Fire TV Stick 4K Select)
  • Your PRORANKTV username, password and server URL
  • TiviMate Premium, only if you want favorites, hidden groups or recording
  • A phone with the TiviMate Companion app, for buying Premium

Still waiting for details? The PRORANKTV 24-hour trial sends a working login to WhatsApp in the same format as a paid term. Once it arrives, live TV sorted by language shows which groups to practice with.

9 steps to a working TiviMate

  1. Pick the Xtream Codes route before adding anything

TiviMate takes an account in more than one form, and the free version holds a single playlist, so choose once. Pick Xtream Codes login: the three details from the chat bring the channels, the listings from the server’s xmltv.php source and the catch-up flags together. An M3U link plays channels too, but the guide address may need typing by hand and replay marks can go missing. A portal address belongs to MAG boxes and Formuler’s MyTVOnline; TiviMate needs none. All three details are in the PRORANKTV activation message.

    Choose a PRORANKTV plan

  2. Install it on Android hardware only

The Play Store lists TiviMate IPTV Player on Android TV and Google TV sets and on Android boxes. Fire OS sticks get it through Downloader, the sideload described in the Firestick guide. One stick is ruled out: on the Fire TV Stick 4K Select, Vega OS replaces Fire OS and allows no sideloading. TiviMate is built for television screens, with no version for Apple devices, Tizen or webOS, and a phone’s Play Store may refuse it. Those screens use IPTV Smarters Pro or Smart IPTV with the same login.

  3. Add the playlist and keep every group for now

Select Add playlist and pick the Xtream Codes login type. Type the server URL, http:// and port included, followed by the username and the password exactly as they appear in the chat, and press Next. Name the playlist anything; it becomes useful only once Premium lets you hold several. When TiviMate offers to include or skip groups, keep them all on the first run: until you know where your language sits, skipping a group risks hiding the channels you came for, and the choice can be changed later in the playlist settings.

  4. Put the guide on an automatic refresh

In Settings, open the TV guide section and pick an automatic update interval. Daily is enough for planning practice; twice a day suits a learner who chooses the next morning’s listening the night before. Listings travel with the login, so no address needs pasting. The first fill across a list this size is slow, and a row that stays bare after a refresh usually belongs to a channel without guide data, which plays normally all the same.

  5. Run the free version for a few days before buying Premium

Premium comes from TiviMate’s developer, and PRORANKTV plays no part in the sale. You buy it in a companion phone app, TiviMate Companion, which shows the current price, and then sign the television app in to that account. Practice on the free version for a few days first. If you keep scrolling past dozens of country groups to reach your Spanish or Turkish channels, favorites and group hiding earn their price. If you watch one or two channels and reach them by number, the free version is enough, catch-up included.

  6. Shrink the grid to the language you practice

With Premium active, open the group list from the guide and hide every country that nobody in the house practices or watches; the sport and movie groups can stay for everyone else. Then add favorites from each channel’s menu, a short run per language: Star Plus and Zee TV for Hindi, Sun TV and Vijay TV for Tamil, Geo TV and Hum TV for Urdu. TiviMate files favorites as a group of their own, first in the list. On the free version, note the numbers of your three or four channels and type them on the remote.

  7. Use replay marks and recording to keep a fixed slot

Choose one program that airs at the same hour every day, a forecast, a bulletin or a daily serial, and make it your practice slot. On a late day, scroll back through the guide to the slot you missed. Where the channel keeps catch-up, the past program wears a replay mark and starts from its opening, and inside a replay you can pause and rewind like a recording, if your version offers it. Premium recording covers channels without an archive, but a recording is a stream of its own, so a one-connection plan cannot record one channel while you watch another.

  8. Find the audio and subtitle options while a channel plays

During playback, bring up the playback options; depending on the remote and the version, that is OK or the menu button. If your version offers them, audio-track and subtitle entries list what the current stream carries; on most live channels that is one soundtrack and no subtitles, because captions appear only when the broadcaster sends them. Where a second soundtrack exists, switch to it there. The same list tells you which language a program is really in before you count the hour as practice.

  9. Confirm it with one channel in your target language

Pick a channel in the language you practice, Rai 1 for Italian or TG4 for Irish, and play it until you are sure of the language. Add it to favorites on Premium, or note its number on the free version. Open the guide, find that channel’s row and read the next program’s title and start time. Then press back to the group list and check that favorites sit first. Picture, favorite and listing in place means TiviMate is ready for daily practice.

5 hitches with TiviMate, each with its fix

TiviMate asks for Premium when you add your paid login

A worked case: the trial details went in as a playlist, a plan was bought, and the new details were added as a second playlist, at which point TiviMate asked for Premium, because more than one playlist is a Premium feature. If the paid details match the trial ones, add nothing; the existing playlist starts working again. If they differ, edit the existing playlist’s details if your version allows it, or remove the trial playlist first and then add the paid one.

Pressing pause on a live forecast does nothing

Whether a live channel can be paused depends on the TiviMate version and its settings, so do not build your practice around it. The dependable way to hear a passage twice is a replay: on channels with catch-up, go back one program in the guide, open the finished forecast or bulletin, and pause or rewind inside it where your version allows. On channels without catch-up, a Premium recording of the daily slot does the same job.

The Play Store calls your phone incompatible

TiviMate is made for television screens, so a phone or tablet may be turned away. That says nothing about your account. Put IPTV Smarters Pro on the phone with the same details, or install TiviMate on the Android TV device instead. Both screens can then play at the same moment only if your plan has a connection for each of them.

Downloader fetches the file but the install is blocked

On Fire OS, installing from outside the store needs permission for Downloader specifically. Open Settings, My Fire TV, Developer Options. If Developer Options is missing, go to My Fire TV, About, and press select seven times on the device name to reveal it. Then allow Downloader to install unknown apps and open the file again. If the stick is a 4K Select, stop here: Vega OS cannot sideload at all.

A channel you expected in Spanish plays in English

Open the playback options and look at the audio list, if your version offers one. If the stream carries a Spanish track, switch to it. If only one track is listed, the program itself is in English, since some channels mix imported programs into their schedules. Try the channel at another hour, or pick a news channel from the same group, where the language of the broadcast is far less likely to change from one program to the next.

Still stuck after these? PRORANKTV faults that are not tied to one device covers the general ones, and a picture of the error message, taken on your phone and sent to WhatsApp, saves describing it.

Questions about PRORANKTV with TiviMate

Does PRORANKTV work in TiviMate?

Yes. TiviMate reads the PRORANKTV Xtream Codes login under Add playlist, so the channels, the guide grid and the replay marks on catch-up channels all load from the three details in the chat. To plan a practice hour before you sit down, the PRORANKTV TV guide page explains where the listings come from and how far ahead they reach.

Which TiviMate features need Premium?

Five of them: favorites, hiding groups, recording, multi-view and running several playlists. Without Premium, TiviMate still plays the whole line-up, draws the complete grid and opens a replay wherever a channel keeps one. Premium is a purchase from the TiviMate developer, made in the Companion app, and it is kept apart from your PRORANKTV plan, whose payment happens in the WhatsApp chat.

Is TiviMate Premium worth it for language practice?

It is if you practice across several channels or more than one language. Favorites and hidden groups turn a line-up from 60+ countries into a short list you reach in two presses, and recording keeps a daily slot when you are out. A learner who sticks to one or two channels and reaches them by number can stay on the free version, which keeps the grid and catch-up.

Can TiviMate replay a program I missed?

Yes, on the channels that keep catch-up. Past programs on those channels carry a replay mark in the grid and start from the beginning when you open them; how far back the archive reaches varies by channel, and some keep none. For what replays cover and why some channels have none, read how PRORANKTV catch-up works.

Can I use TiviMate on a Samsung TV or an iPhone?

No, TiviMate is an Android app and nothing else, so it installs on Fire OS sticks, Android boxes, and sets whose system is Android TV or Google TV. A Samsung or LG television can run the Smart IPTV app for PRORANKTV directly, without a box. iPhones, iPads and Apple TV use Smarters Player Lite, signing in with the login you already have.

Does TiviMate show subtitles on live channels?

Only when the broadcaster sends subtitles in the stream and your version of TiviMate can display them, and most live channels carry none. Treat live channels as listening practice and look for reading practice elsewhere: on-demand titles more often have selectable subtitles, title by title. The line-up by language shows which countries and languages are in the line-up.
